One if the key aspects to come out of my interim presentation in my opion was a concept where the theatre level 1 and two were opened up into just one singular open space allowing a higer ceiling and greater atmosphere

I recently purchased this book called "Unbuilt Masterworks of the 21st Century" by Will Jones. Its a really creative book that has provided me with numerous ideas and concepts for my theatre. I found this book highly useful as a theatre should be something which stands out from its surroundings not blends in. For example Frank Gehrys theatres, Zaha Hadids even the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art. A theatre should be a focal point withing the urban environment in my opinion anyway.

The book includes 100 of the most creative pieces of architecture to be proposed in the 21st century. This concept i am tying in with my original concept of flexible architecture.

Theatre Digital technology

Hey Guys and Girls

My folie design looked at framed views and tried to develop these into a sculptural piece of architecture that allowed people to experience the safe experience i did. My theatre concept is a step beyond this folie process.

After researching a range of different digital technologies i developed the concept of creating framed views using forms of projection. In my folie design looked at framing existing views around the HSW area. This concept extends on that through the use of 3d-4d projection within my theatre design to allow me to dictate what views/ experiences i choose to frame/ display to the viewer.

In a sense my theatre will create new views on top of the existing framed views available. The theatre design will be highly flexible in its use however will be centred around the core theme of projection technology and the experinces that can create from all areas of the desgin not just throgu hthe performance space.

The following videos explain the concept of 3d projection abit further. This concept is still under development and i will post more process development as i work through.

The videos explain the posibilites of 3d projection in more depth. This technology within my theatre would allow a range of flexible uses from a keynote speech to watching a popular band play no matter where in the world they are using this 3d digtial technology method.
