Hey Blog World.
Just poping up some images of a site analysis on Howard Smith Wharves in Brisbane, Australia. The Diagrams look at Noise, Wind, Movement and Demographics.
The following information was recorded about the smells in the area
-Forest like aroma
-Smell of salt water
-A sense of freshness in the air due to the vegetation
The following information was also recorded about the noise in the area
-Large amounts of noise from Story bridge above
-Birds
-People
-Vegetaion
(No noise from the river was noted excpet for passing boats/ city cats)
The loudest noted noises proceeded to come from the story bridge traffic. This is generated from cars traveling over the joints of the bridge. The Story Bridge was also noted to have a specific RHYTHM about it with the passing traffic.
Rhythm was based off the following three factors:
-Traffic (provides overlapping de- crescendo
-Foot Steps (create initial beat)
-Story Bridge (base note)
(trucks breaking and traffic sirens act ad lead "licks")
Anyway that is the site findings at this stage but these will continue to develop during the continued study of the site
Thanks
Mitch Out (for another day)
Hey can you tell me what the blue, green, yellow and red correspond to for the Demographics page?
